Alexander (Alex) Boucher

Corporal Alexander (Alex) Boucher was a Métis World War II Veteran born on January 27, 1913, in Britt, Ontario. He served in the Canadian Army with the Primary Reserve Infantry Regiment during World War II. Following his military service, he remained an active and revered Elder in his home community until his passing on July 12, 2020, at the age of 107. He was directly honored for his dedicated wartime service by the Métis Nation during a personal presentation on August 17, 2019.
