What is the Métis Veterans Legacy Program?
The MVLP recognizes the service and sacrifice of Second World War Métis Veterans and supports commemoration initiatives that preserve their legacy.

A qualifying Second World War Métis Veteran, a surviving spouse or common-law partner, or an eligible child may apply. Supporting service, ancestry, relationship, and other records may be required.
Eligible initiatives may include memorials, ceremonies, educational projects, research, art installations, scholarships, books, and other work that honours Métis Veterans.
Expressions of Interest are accepted on an ongoing basis. Contact the program before applying if you need help preparing a proposal.
